Compensation: $100k - $130k Base + Bonus

About the Opportunity
TalentoHC has partnered with a personal care products company seeking a Product Development Manager to lead the execution of approved product concepts from initial brief through development, commercialization and final handoff to Purchasing and Operations. This is an execution-focused role for a strong Product Development professional who can manage the full development lifecycle, coordinate with contract manufacturers and suppliers, oversee formulation and packaging development, manage timelines and project costs and ensure products meet quality, margin, and launch requirements.

The company has a separate Innovation team responsible for ideation, consumer insights and concept creation. The Product Development Manager takes approved concepts and drives the development process through completion.

Key Responsibilities

• Translate Manage approved product concepts from development brief through formulation, commercialization, and final operational handoff.
• Coordinate formulation, sampling, testing, specifications, packaging, and approvals with contract manufacturers, laboratories, and suppliers.
• Partner with Sourcing and cross-functional teams on supplier selection, components, costs, minimum order quantities, lead times, and project requirements.
• Develop product costing and SKU-level P&Ls to ensure alignment with pricing and margin targets.
• Manage project timelines, documentation, risks, and deliverables while resolving issues impacting cost, quality, or launch schedules.
• Prepare complete product documentation and handoff packages for Purchasing and Operations.

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business administration or related field.
• 3–5+ years of experience in Product Development, with strong hands-on product development and execution experience strongly preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in beauty, cosmetics, personal care or a related consumer products category.
• Experience working with contract manufacturers, laboratories, packaging suppliers, and cross-functional teams.
• Knowledge of formulation, testing, packaging development, product costing, P&Ls, and commercialization.
• Strong project management, organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and shifting priorities.
• Commercial acumen, including an understanding of costs, margins, minimum order quantities, lead times, and customer requirements.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with Monday.com or similar project management tools preferred.
• Experience supporting mass-market, specialty, off-price, or value-oriented retailers is a plus.
