Benefits Coordinator
Talento has partnered with an enterprise organization looking to add a contractor to their benefits team before open enrollment begins. This person will support day to day and projects related to the company’s comprehensive wellness program for employees. The incumbent will assist with the day-to-day operations of all benefits administration including annual open enrollment, HRIS maintenance and updates, implementations and compliance activities. This role also maintains files, department documents and communications.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate, plan, and facilitate health and fitness activities. and assist in the implementation of impactful wellness initiatives.
- Assist with the day-to-day operations of employee benefits programs, including annual open enrollment task, health insurance, retirement plans, and other voluntary benefits.
- Assist and prepare benefits and wellness communications including updates to sharepoint, intranet and yammer page. Ensure communications are clear, accurate, and aligned with company policies and values.
- Maintain HIPPA compliant electronic files for benefits team, utilizing file management software and assist as another point of contact for the broader team as needed.
- Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- 1+ years of experience as an HR assistant or coordinator role, focused on benefits
- Advanced usage of MS Suite (word, PPT, SharePoint, beginner Excel)
- Experience using enterprise HRIS systems
- General understanding of federal and state regulations and laws as it relates to benefits (FMLA, HIPPA, etc)
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively explain benefits information and respond to inquiries from employees and/or vendors
