Commercial Leasing Manager
Overview
Talento has partnered with a large real estate company in NYC seeking a strategic and results-driven Leasing Manager to oversee leasing activities for commercial and retail properties in New York City. This role will focus on securing high-quality tenants, interacting with brokers, canvassing, negotiating deal terms and letters of intent, and optimizing occupancy across a diverse portfolio. The ideal candidate has a strong background in commercial real estate leasing, market analysis, and tenant relations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement leasing strategies to maximize occupancy and rental income.
- Identify and secure new commercial and retail tenants, ensuring the right tenant mix.
- Negotiate deal terms and letters of intent for new leases, renewals and expansions.
- Knowledge of rental trends, competitor properties, and emerging market opportunities.
- Build and maintain relationships with brokers, tenants, and business owners to drive leasing activity.
- Work closely with property management legal teams and ownership.
- Maintain accurate records of leasing activity, financials, and market data.
Qualifications:
- 7+ years of experience in commercial and/or retail leasing.
- Strong negotiation skills and understanding of lease agreements, rent structures, and real estate regulations.
- Established network of brokers, business owners, and commercial real estate professionals.
- Experience working with property management teams and knowledge of landlord-tenant laws.
- Proficiency in leasing and property management software (e.g., Yardi, CoStar, VTS).
- College Degree Required.
- Preference for candidates who have prior commercial real estate brokerage experience.
- In office 5 days a week
DOE: $150,000 base
