Overview

Talento Human Capital has partnered with an iconic entertainment brand to hire a Licensing Coordinator based in San Diego. We are seeking a proactive and ambitious professional to join a premier team managing a globally recognized portfolio of intellectual property.

This is a unique opportunity to influence the market presence of highly sought-after products across North America. You will support a wide array of product categories, including everything from toys and apparel to home goods, beauty, and seasonal items. The role is central to the daily operations of the product licensing business, requiring close collaboration in a fast-paced, creative environment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the end-to-end contract administration process using the company’s royalty management platform.

  • Serve as a key point of contact for licensing partners, fostering strong relationships and ensuring brand alignment across various product lines.

  • Provide analytical support to Licensing Managers by evaluating new category opportunities, retail performance, and product placement strategies.

  • Contribute to the creation of persuasive sales presentations, market research decks, and internal reports.

  • Perform analysis of market trends and sales data to provide insights that inform the broader licensing strategy.

  • Maintain accurate tracking documents for new business pipelines, licensee status, and contract renewals.

  • Collaborate closely with internal Brand, Legal, and Finance departments to ensure cohesive execution of all licensing initiatives.

  • Assist with preparations for industry trade shows and partner meetings to build rapport and represent the brand.

Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of relevant experience in a licensing, brand marketing, or partnerships role, ideally within the entertainment, retail, or consumer products industries.

  • Familiarity with the fundamentals of licensing agreements and contract terms is a strong plus.

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze sales figures, market data, and financial performance to derive actionable insights.

  • Superior communication and interpersonal skills, with experience managing external business relationships.

  • Full proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word); experience with licensing software like MyMediaBox is highly desirable.

  • Exceptional organizational skills and a keen eye for detail, with proven success managing competing priorities in a dynamic setting.

  • A self-starter attitude with an entrepreneurial spirit and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

  • A collaborative team player who can also work autonomously and take initiative.

  • Willingness and ability to travel for business as needed (estimated 10-20%).

Salary: $75,000
