TalentoHC has partnered with a leading multinational HVAC, refrigeration, and fire and security equipment corporation seeking an Manufacturing Project Engineer who will be responsible for designing and implementing solutions that enhance assembly and material handling efficiency. You’ll work closely with project management and the mechanical engineering team to ensure seamless product realization.

ONSITE, Monday – Friday, Standard Working Hours in Charlotte, NC


  • Manage the design and planning of complex layouts for assembly and materials handling.
  • Adapt machine and equipment designs to ensure optimal functionality within the factory and production environment.
  • Plan the sequence of operations and develop detailed procedures for fabricating tools, equipment, and other production elements impacting product performance.
  • Design fixtures and tooling to facilitate efficient and accurate assembly processes.
  • Create clear and concise work instructions for manufacturing personnel.
  • Proactively track action items and ensure timely completion of assigned tasks.
  • Lead and complete PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) activities, including PFMEA (Process FMEA), Control Plans, and MSA (Measurement System Analysis).
  • Collaborate effectively with project management and the ME team to ensure project success.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associates Degree Required (Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering or similar preferred).
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, including assembly techniques, materials handling, and quality control principles.
  • Experience in designing and developing fixtures and tooling for production lines.
  • Proven ability to create clear and comprehensive work instructions.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to track action items and ensure timely task completion.
  • Familiarity with PPAP activities (PFMEA, Control Plans, MSA) a plus.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
