Overview
Talento has partnered with a global industry leader in B2B solutions and services to find a Territory Sales Manager responsible for prospecting new and growing existing accounts using a consultative selling approach to deliver added value based on a comprehensive portfolio of products/services. This individual is the direct point of contact with customers and oversees ensuring a customer’s needs and expectations are met. Will know the products/solutions inside and out and efficiently and effectively guide customers through the validation process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Meet sales targets and achieve desired outcomes within the designated territory.
  • Use a consultative selling approach to present, promote, and sell products/services to both existing and prospective customers.
  • Evaluate the market potential in the territory and monitor sales and status reports.
  • Identify and drive new business opportunities by selling a comprehensive range of products/services to current and potential customers.
  • Create and deliver presentations to key decision-makers, highlighting the value of products/services in addressing their organizational challenges.
  • Build and maintain sales relationships with key decision-makers and influencers at all organizational levels.
  • Clearly convey unique solutions and effectively use the sales model to identify opportunities and maximize customer-specific value.
  • Use financial payback tools to quantify and monetize the value of solutions, differentiating the company’s approach to prospects and customers.
  • Work closely with national account leadership to develop and grow both national and regional accounts.
  • Provide management with information on customer needs, issues, interests, competitive activities, and potential products/services.
  • Resolve customer problems and complaints promptly to ensure maximum satisfaction.
  • Use tools such as Salesforce and LinkedIn to manage and grow the territory efficiently and effectively.
  • Participate in trade shows and be an active member of industry associations within the territory.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communication, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of B2B consultative selling experience is required; experience selling to municipalities is a plus.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with proficiency in developing and delivering formal presentations.
  • Strong skills in selling, negotiation, prioritization, time management, and organization.
  • Experience using a CRM system to manage customer relationships; familiarity with Salesforce is preferred.
  • Proficient in the MS Office suite.
  • Must have an acceptable motor vehicle report, as the role involves operating a company vehicle.
  • Willing to travel overnight more than 50% of the time for sales calls, trade shows, and company meetings.
