**Position based in Coral Gables, FL – Must reside within a commutable distance and be part of executive team at headquarters. Pls only apply if willing to work a hybrid schedule in office. This is not a remote or commute-in position.

The Head of People, Performance & Culture will be a key member of the senior executive leadership team. The VP will be a strategic business partner who will have a direct impact on the culture, performance, productivity,  profit and growth of the company. As a member of the executive leadership team, the VP, People, Performance & Culture will share in the strategic planning of the company and is responsible managing and developing the organization’s capability and effectiveness as well as the entire employee life cycle from hire to retire.

In this role, you will serve as the driving force behind our organization's human capital strategy, playing a pivotal role in shaping our growth trajectory and operational success. By leveraging your expertise in culture, employee relations & engagement, talent management & acquisition, learning & development, change management, internal communications, M&A integration, and retention, you will ensure that we attract, nurture, and empower top talent companywide. Through your strategic guidance and leadership, you will cultivate a culture of excellence, innovation, and inclusivity, laying the foundation for sustained organizational growth and achievement of our business objectives. You will also manage the people capabilities of the organization ensuring the leadership team prioritizes organizational development and succession to scale to a $1B company by 2035. 

 

What you would be responsible for: 

HR Strategy and Leadership: 

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive human resource strategy aligned with the company's goals, evolving key HR capabilities in culture, talent acquisition & management, retention, development and operational excellence. 

  • Function as a strategic, human capital business advisor to the senior leadership team 

  • Collaborate with the CEO, COO and leadership team on organizational strategy, design, and implementation to drive business objectives and facilitate growth 

  • Develop and implement a succession planning process to identify and develop future leaders within the organization 

  • Lead change management initiatives and organizational restructuring efforts as needed to scale the business and drive cultural transformation 

  • Driving compensation, performance appraisal, and goal-setting processes, ensuring alignment with organizational goals 

  • Act as the performance improvement driver to influence positive changes in the business environment and maintain strong, effective and transparent delivery of communication 

Culture, Employee Relations and Engagement: 

  • Management the voice of the associates process through daily employee relations activities driving coaching and continuous improvement while balancing risk 

  • Lead engagement planning and execution, fostering strong relationships with associates and leaders to drive a positive and engaged culture 

  • Utilize engagement survey data to develop action plans in collaboration with departmental leaders, enhancing overall employee satisfaction and commitment 

 

Compensation, Benefits & HR Technology 

  • Develop & manage employee-centric programs in the United States, Latin America & Europe, continuously evaluating market standards to uphold competitive benefits offerings 

  • Ensure compliance with company policies and government regulations, including ERISA and ACA 

  • Provides leadership and guidance on all company compensation programs including annual salary planning, merit increases, salary structures, variable pay and other incentive programs to ensure alignment to company goals and budget 

  • Deploy & optimize technology to create self-service capabilities  

  • Review and optimize third party vendors to ensure our benefits and technology support current and future associates  

 

Merger & Acquisition Integration: 

  • Lead HR due diligence efforts during M&A activities, assessing cultural fit, organizational structure, compensation and benefits, and potential risks 

  • Develop and execute integration plans for newly acquired companies, ensuring smooth transitions and alignment with the organization's HR policies and practices 

  • Facilitate communication and change management initiatives to minimize disruption and ensure employee engagement during integration processes 

  • Lead communication efforts to provide transparency and clarity regarding M&A objectives, timelines, and impacts on associates 

  • Develop and implement unified HR policies and practices that align with the organization's culture, values, and strategic objectives 

  • Conduct post-merger evaluations to assess the effectiveness of integration strategies and identify areas for improvement 

 

Employer Branding & Talent Acquisition: 

  • Develop and implement an employment branding strategy to attract top talent for key positions 

  • Utilize data-driven approaches for all HR strategies, including recruitment, talent acquisition, and compensation 

  • Ensure organizational bench depth and talent readiness through effective recruitment, succession planning, and team development initiatives 

 

Talent Management 

  • Lead the company's goal setting, bi-annual performance management process, ongoing performance coaching process, development planning, succession planning, hi-potential identification & development, emerging talent, key talent, and retention initiatives & programs   

 

Learning & Development: 

  • Implement integrated training and development programs across all levels of the organization to ensure consistency and effectiveness 

  • Drive a culture of continuous learning and skill development to support individual and team performance 

 

Experience and knowledge requirements for the VP, People, Performance & Culture: 

  • Strong track record of leveraging business acumen and knowledge to drive practical and thoughtful business results  

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in HR, including 7 years of experience leading HR teams 
  • 15% Travel required 
  • Experience developing strategic plans as a member of a senior leadership team setting the strategy for an organization  

  • Experience developing and implementing a successful Talent, Learning & Development culture 

  • Change management expertise in helping organizations pace and manage growth while ensuring effective internal communications  

  • Experience driving an inclusive workplace with a strong sense of belonging  

  • SPHR and/or SHRM-SCP certification preferred 

  • Staffing and Recruiting or Professional Services Industry experience preferred  

  • Mergers & Acquisions experience preferred 

  • Deep knowledge of employee related federal and state laws and management of related compliance like claims, complaints and disciplinary actions, data protection, audits, etc. 

  • Solid interpersonal communication, technical, and project management skills 

  • Coaching & mentoring experience  

  • Bilingual (Spanish & English) a plus, but not required  

  • Proven ability to provide pragmatic, sound, and practical guidance, as well as the ability to take ownership of and deliver solutions for a varied range of HR challenges 

  • Bachelors degree preferred. Graduate degree ideal.
