TalentoHC has partnered with a leading enterprise organization seeking a skilled Credit and Collections Specialist for a contract-to-hire opportunity. This role has been created due to company growth and offers a chance to join a dynamic team. The Credit and Collections Specialist is responsible for managing credit card disputes, chargeback cases, and outstanding promissory notes. This role involves collaborating with internal departments, credit card companies, and collection agencies to facilitate effective debt resolution while delivering exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Investigate, analyze, and resolve credit card disputes and chargeback cases across multiple credit card platforms.
  • Draft responses to disputes following Credit Card Association regulations and company policies.
  • Monitor and manage promissory notes, outstanding bills, and payments.
  • Maintain and update the Direct Bill Ledger with new promissory notes and payment statuses.
  • Track resolved cases, follow up on dispute outcomes, and work to minimize lost cases.
  • Maintain accurate records of dispute and chargeback cases.
  • Prepare analyses and schedules related to credit card transactions.
  • Collaborate with credit card companies, collection agencies, and internal teams to streamline the collection process.
  • Review and maintain monthly collection agency files.
  • Provide excellent customer service to support the company’s image during collections.
  • Assist with various accounting and operational tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Education: Associate degree or higher in Accounting, Business, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience: At least two years of experience in accounting operations, customer service, claims resolution, or the hospitality industry.
  • Skills:
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
    • Excellent analytical and math skills for resolving discrepancies and data review.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).
    • Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities.
    • Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and handle pressure in a fast-paced environment.
    • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy.
