Overview
TalentoHC has partnered with a leading multinational HVAC, refrigeration, and fire and security equipment corporation seeking a Embedded Systems Engineer who will play a critical role in the development of innovative HVAC systems, working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver cutting-edge solutions.
**This is a Onsite position with 9am to 5pm EST working hours.**
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with stakeholders: Work closely with marketing, customers, and engineering teams to define and refine product requirements.
- Drive system design: Lead the development of system architecture, ensuring optimal integration of hardware, firmware, and software components.
- Conduct system-level analysis: Perform trade-off analysis, identify potential risks, and develop mitigation strategies to optimize system performance and reliability.
- Develop test plans and procedures: Create comprehensive test plans and procedures to verify and validate system functionality and performance.
- Participate in product development processes: Actively contribute to various stages of the product development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, implementation, and testing.
- Document system requirements and design: Generate clear and concise documentation to facilitate understanding and knowledge transfer.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends: Continuously explore emerging technologies and industry best practices to drive innovation.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer, Electrical, Mechanical, Systems, or Controls Engineering
- 2+ years of systems engineering experience with embedded products
- Proficiency in requirements capture and definition tools (e.g., IBM DOORS, JIRA/Confluence)
- Experience with 8, 16, and 32-bit microcontrollers
- Familiarity with various wireless protocols (Wi-Fi, BLE, Zigbee/CHIP, Z-Wave)
- Strong understanding of DFMEA principles and practices
- Proven ability to lead and collaborate in a cross-functional team environment
- Knowledge of C and C++ programming languages
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results under tight deadlines
- Experience with MATLAB/Simulink, LabVIEW, or HVAC controls system design (preferred)
