Training Specialist
We are seeking a Training Specialist to join the U.S. Insurance Underwriting Services team. This role will primarily facilitate training sessions, maintain training materials and provide support for the Underwriting business units.
This will require teamwork, client focus, attention to detail, and dedication as the role of operations is often varied and dynamic. The successful candidate can expect to be part of a close-knit team and have exposure to a wide range of Insurance product types and lines of business.
Responsibilities:
- Assists in the development and updating training materials to support the deployment of underwriting tools to the business (e.g. Guidewire Policy Center, Electronic Content Management such as Image Right, Reporting tools, etc.).
- Performs training material updates as systems are updated via periodic releases.
- Collaborates with the Instructional Designer or Training Manager to co-develop training that is compliant and effective.
- Collaborates with members of internal teams (IT, Training, Process and other Operations) to understand and translate the learning objectives, drive process improvements and assist with user adoption.
- Coordinates new hire onboarding training with business units; including underwriting systems, when necessary, and a review of available training & reference materials.
- Delivers training sessions for underwriting business units and provide post training support in the form of answering questions and follow-up demonstrations.
- Solicits feedback from trainees and Department Management to ensure the appropriateness of course content and for continuous improvement opportunities.
- Maintains accurate training documentation and submission for record keeping and reporting
- Performs administrative tasks such as scheduling training sessions, uploading training materials to training site, coordinating enrollment, administering surveys and completing documentation.
- Communicates and facilitates discussions related to resolution of technical issues associated with computer systems.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- Knowledge of design, development, and implementation of systems/technology training
- Strongly Proficient in a wide variety of systems including MS Office Suite, Adobe, Articulate, Microlearning, Video tools, etc.
- Minimum of 1-2 years’ experience
- Requires high level of attention to detail.
- Capable of delivering training virtually as well as in-person.
- Ability to communicate information clearly (written and verbally) to facilitate effective learning.
- High integrity team player with high standards and a positive attitude.
- Project coordination skills
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
