Director of New Business Development
Remote w/40-50% Travel

OVERVIEW:
Talento has partnered with a global industry leader in supply chain solutions looking for a Director of New Business Development. The Director will develop and commercialize the go-to-market strategy across new channels such as ASRS (Automated Storage and Retrieval System), Integrators, Pharmaceutical, Controlled Environment Agriculture, Solar and HVAC suppliers that can use the company’s portfolio of products in their supply chain process. They will promote the organization and build long-term relationships to meet business objectives and achieve business goals.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and implement go-to-market strategies to identify and prioritize core product portfolio, enhancing market share growth and new target market opportunities
  • Conduct in-depth market research to identify emerging trends, competitive dynamics and customer needs
  • Analyze industry trends, technological advancements and category innovation to create market expansion opportunities based on a phased approach to commercialize product offerings
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment and support for target development initiatives
  • Partner with R&D team to develop transformative products and market innovation, including new technologies
  • Establish strong relationships with key industry stakeholders, potential partners and clients
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences and networking opportunities to build the company’s brand and explore new possibilities
  • Communicate progress, challenges and successes of GTM expansion plans to senior management
  • Collaborate with finance team to develop detailed business cases for potential targets, including cost models, risk assessment and strategic impact analyses
  • Identify and manage risks associated with target development activities, developing mitigation strategies to address potential changes

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communication or related field
  • 10+ years of new business development experience in B2B manufacturing environment
  • Strong track record of opening new channels/accounts to drive incremental sales and revenue
  • Expertise in building relationships to drive new customer acquisition and revenue growth
  • Track record of driving innovation and staying ahead of industry trends
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and influence through teamwork and cross functional collaboration
  • Results oriented with high, performance-driven goals and capable of making tough, fast decisions based on business objectives
  • Strong communication and presentation skills and ability to effectively advocate for ideas with senior management
  • Strong experience with MS Office suite
  • Open to travel (estimated 40-50% to customers, sales/leadership meetings, trade shows and industry events)
  • Acceptable motor vehicle report, due to the operation of a company vehicle

Comp Range: $165-$185k base (DOE depending on experience) + 30% Bonus + Company Car
