Litigation Paralegal – Consumer Class Action
Overview
TalentoHC has partnered with an award-winning law firm specializing in Personal Injury, Employment Law, and Consumer Class Actions. We are helping them find a Ligation Paralegal for their boutique Consumer Class Action Department, you will have the opportunity to advocate for consumers’ interests in California and across the nation in often ground-breaking and newsworthy cases.
Responsibilities:
- Support our client's attorneys in all phases of litigation
- Maintain organized case files
- Assist in drafting, reviewing, proofreading, citation checking, and tabling documents
- Propound and respond to discovery, including Bates stamping
- Manage and calendar court deadlines
- Prepare documents for filing in both state and federal courts
- Professionally communicate with clients, experts, courts, and defense counsel
- Prioritize and complete tasks in a timely and efficient manner
- Maintain strict confidentiality
- Collaborate with team members
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of experience
- Associate’s degree or equivalent paralegal study
- Excellent organizational skills
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Ability to act both independently and in a team environment
- Knowledge of California rules and e-filing; Federal rules a plus
- Familiarity with California discovery rules, Federal rules a plus
- Type at least 40 WPM
- Confident in a paperless work environment
Compensation & Benefits:
- Salary Range (commensurate with experience): $80,000 – $130,000 base
