Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Line Manager with 5+ years of experience to oversee and lead the daily operations of our manufacturing line. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing processes, team leadership, and continuous improvement, ensuring the efficient production of high-quality products in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day operations of the production line to meet quality and productivity goals.
- Lead, train, and supervise a team of production workers, ensuring adherence to company policies and safety standards.
- Monitor and optimize production efficiency, making adjustments to improve throughput and reduce waste.
- Ensure proper maintenance of machinery and equipment, coordinating with maintenance teams as needed.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues promptly to minimize downtime.
- Implement and uphold safety protocols, ensuring a safe working environment for all employees.
- Maintain accurate records of production data, inventory, and quality control reports.
- Collaborate with other departments (e.g., quality control, supply chain, maintenance) to meet production targets and deadlines.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of lean manufacturing practices.
- Report regularly to senior management on production performance, issues, and improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience as a Line Manager or in a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality control, and safety standards.
- Ability to read and interpret production schedules and technical documents.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement practices.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work on-site 5 days a week in Miami Lakes.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, or a related field.
- Previous experience in a mid-market manufacturing environment is a plus.
- Familiarity with production management software or ERP systems.
- FDA regulatory experience or knowledge is a nice to have.
