Business Development Manager 

Mid Atlantic (PA, MD, WVA, DE) 

Overview

We're seeking a Business Development Manager to nurture existing advisor relationships while strategically driving new business growth. This individual will play a key role in enhancing the client experience through proactive account servicing, insightful industry counsel, and targeted marketing of company solutions. The ideal candidate is a motivated communicator with a passion for building trust, delivering value, and identifying opportunities that align with client needs. This role will also collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to streamline service delivery and support the continuous improvement of our client engagement model. 

Responsibilities 

  • Manage and grow existing accounts within the assigned territory, fostering long-term relationships with travel agencies, advisors, and wholesalers. 

  • Generate sales across FIT, Group, Part Charter, and Charter segments through strategic outreach and client engagement. 

  • Identify new business opportunities and develop strategies to increase market share and revenue. 

  • Conduct face-to-face meetings, trade shows, training seminars, telemarketing, and product presentations to drive brand awareness and sales performance. 

  • Deliver exceptional customer service by responding to inquiries and managing requests for collateral, cooperative marketing support, and general account servicing. 

  • Provide industry knowledge and sales counseling to clients, promoting all relevant company products, programs, and services. 

  • Develop and execute tactical plans to meet or exceed established sales targets and budgets. 

  • Maintain a consistent call schedule with daily customer contact and proactive territory management. 

  • Deliver timely market feedback and insights from the field to help shape competitive strategies and product enhancements. 

  • Partner with internal stakeholders to support marketing efforts, training programs, and customer retention initiatives. 

  • Represent the company at industry events and trade shows, occasionally requiring weekend travel. 

  • Maintain accurate records and submit reports, forecasts, and territory performance updates to management. 

  • Travel up to 80% of the time, including some weekends, to effectively cover assigned territory and attend events. 

  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management to support sales and organizational goals. 

Requirements 

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and 4 –10 years of related experience in sales, business development, or account management. 

  • Proven track record in client relationship management and sales performance in a travel, hospitality, or related industry. 

  • Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills; public speaking proficiency is a must. 

  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities under tight deadlines. 

  • An extroverted, outgoing, friendly personality is a huge plus for this position. 

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and relevant CRM, email, database, and reservation software. 

  • Valid driver’s license and a clean motor vehicle record. 

  • Ability to work independently and remotely with minimal supervision. 

  • Comfortable working long hours, including evenings and weekends, as required. 

  • Must complete an online Cognitive Aptitude Test and an Employee Personality Profile as part of the application process. 

  • Professional demeanor with the ability to handle challenging situations and represent the company with integrity. 

  • Must reside in one of the following states: DC, DE, MD, PA, or WVA. 

Salary (Commensurate with Experience): $75,000- $90,000 base
