Director of Automation & Artificial Intelligence
Talento has partnered with a national company on a search for a Director of AI. We are seeking a visionary leader to spearhead their artificial intelligence and automation initiatives. This role involves aligning AI strategies with overarching business goals, building and mentoring a dynamic team, and driving the adoption of AI solutions across the organization. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of technical expertise and strategic insight to transform operations through innovative technologies.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive AI and automation roadmap that aligns with the company's objectives. Lead cross-functional collaborations to integrate AI solutions seamlessly into various departments.
- Build and guide a team of 7–10 AI and automation professionals. Oversee recruitment, training, and professional development to foster a high-performing unit.
- Identify and prioritize opportunities for automation in collaboration with business and technology stakeholders. Manage the full lifecycle of AI projects, from conceptualization to deployment and ongoing refinement.
- Establish metrics to assess the impact of AI implementations on efficiency, cost savings, and process improvements. Regularly report on these metrics to stakeholders.
- Ensure all AI systems comply with industry standards, data privacy laws, and ethical guidelines. Stay informed about emerging technologies and best practices in AI and machine learning.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science or a related discipline; advanced degrees (Master’s or PhD) are preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years in AI/ML engineering, software development, or related fields, with a focus on generative AI and machine learning.
- 2+ years of experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Demonstrated experience in leading AI or technology-focused teams, with a track record of successful project delivery.
- Hands-on experience with AI and automation tools, such as robotic process automation (RPA) and machine learning frameworks.
- Strong communication skills, capable of conveying complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Background in legal or professional services industries is highly preferred.
- Certified Analytics Professional (CAP) certification is a plus.
