Senior Vice President, Transformation and Automation
Overview:
Talento is looking for a leader of Transformation, Continuous Improvement and Automation to be an experienced change agent who can assess, analyze, inspire and lead transformation of systems, processes and people. This leader will directly impact end to end processes and systems for effectuating contract terms, affiliating pricing, minimizing leakage and slippage, managing payments of rebates and fees timely and accurately while ensuring alignment of membership between all partners in our network of manufacturers, distributors, and wholesalers.
Responsibilities:
Strategy & Innovation
- Develop and implement innovative business strategies to achieve a 15% improvement in operational effectiveness and profitability in identified growth areas.
- Drive tech-focused operations leveraging scalable cloud architecture, microservices, data security, and machine learning (e.g., agentic AI for customer service, autonomous operations, workflow optimization) tailored for the long-term care industry.
- Deeply understand GPO and PSAO network business models, ensuring an efficient user experience for manufacturers, distributors, wholesalers, and members.
- Collaborate with leadership to launch operational performance initiatives that reduce leakage and slippage by 20%.
- Engage with external partners and industry leaders to enhance long-term growth opportunities.
Process Improvement & Measurement
- Lead radical redesign initiatives to implement process improvements, utilizing methodologies like Lean, Six Sigma, or BPO.
- Leverage enterprise-wide KPIs to identify and implement operational improvements, targeting a 15% increase in efficiency across contract management, pricing affiliation, and rebate processing.
- Develop performance dashboards to provide real-time insights, enabling proactive decision-making.
- Evaluate or build healthcare-compliant agentic AI platforms (e.g., AutoGPT, OpenAI tools) to automate workflows and reduce operational costs by 10% within the first year.
- Manage the operations budget, conducting cost analyses and forecasting for informed financial decisions.
- Apply analytical problem-solving skills, including root cause analysis, to drive continuous improvement and boost productivity.
Optimization & Prioritization
- Build relationships with suppliers and partners to ensure contract adherence, minimizing discrepancies in membership operations and contract execution.
- Optimize data reconciliation, membership operations, and contract operations to enhance value creation for members.
- Oversee the development and implementation of comprehensive operational policies and procedures aligned with business goals.
Leadership & Collaboration
- Direct, develop, coach, and mentor teams to adopt strategic, technological, and growth-minded methodologies, fostering a culture of curiosity, advocacy, and relentless execution.
- Embody values by leading a dynamic, results-driven team where intelligent autonomy drives outcomes that improve patient care, efficiency, and predictive health interventions.
- Establish efficient cross-functional working relationships with business partners and operations teams to support rapid organizational growth.
Experience
- BA/BS in business or related concentration; graduate degree, STEM degrees preferred.
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in senior leadership operations roles.
- 10+ years of experience developing enterprise process productivity and effectiveness metrics focused on customer perspective and value stream.
- Healthcare and supply chain operations experience highly preferred.
- Process engineering background: BPO, Lean, Radical Redesign, and/or Six Sigma methodologies.
- Systems thinker with experience applying AI/ML to scale operations, paired with a proven ability to develop strategic, growth-minded methodologies.
- Experience building advanced master data management architecture and practices.
- Strong business analytical skills, with the ability to exercise sound judgment and initiative.
- Ability to scale and scope operations teams to support rapidly expanding organizational needs.
- Superior leadership, people management, and communication skills.
- Strategic thinker with strong planning skills.
