Employee & Talent Coordinator
3 month temporary assignment
The Employee Experience & Talent Coordinator provides administrative and functional support for Talent Management processes. The role focuses on internal movement requests, employee engagement initiatives, recognition programs, wellness campaigns, and vendor/supply management.
Responsibilities
Talent Management
- Support internal movement and department transfer requests
- Review applications, ensure requirements are met, issue outcome letters
- Track applicants through the process and maintain accurate records
- Serve as first point of contact for shipboard and shoreside users
- Respond to inquiries and manage the shared mailbox
- Coordinate with departments to schedule approved transfers
Employee Experience & Recognition
- Administer employee engagement and recognition programs
- Support and facilitate initiatives across the fleet
- Oversee the I AM Team Member & Leader program and annual ceremony
- Coordinate service award programs, including ordering customized awards
- Ensure fair, transparent, and consistent communication
Vendor & Supply Management
- Manage sourcing, purchasing, and vendor relationships
- Partner with Accounting and Purchasing on coding and contracts
- Oversee ordering and distribution of HR items and program supplies
- Support projects such as new ship builds
- Handle service award orders (35, 40, 45-year awards)
- Distribute quarterly industry publications to the fleet
Wellness Campaigns
- Lead projects that promote health and wellbeing of shipboard team members
- Support programs on fitness, mental health, nutrition, and smoking cessation
- Research and recommend new wellness initiatives and trends
Requirements
- Associate’s degree or equivalent experience
- 1–3 years HR experience, preferably in hospitality or cruise industry
- Background in employee experience, talent management, or HR business partnership
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and relationship-building skills
- Proactive and able to work independently in fast-paced environments
- Professional verbal and written English communication
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- High attention to detail
