Talento Human Capital has partnered with a global organization with 50k employees on the search for a Sr.Director, Global Shared Services who will be responsible for driving corporate initiatives in Finance, Supply Chain & Procurement, Human Resources and Commercial. The leader will identify initiatives and lead strategic projects that enhance operational efficiency and support business growth and the company’s strategy via Nearshoring or Offshoring. This role combines financial management expertise with planning and project execution, ensuring that finance operations align with the organization’s long-term objectives.

This position is a full-time, onsite position in Miami, FL.  Remote candidates will not be considered. Relocation-assistance is offered.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Drives efficiency and effectiveness by streamlining department-specific or cross-department processes, proposing process redesign, automation and implementation of supporting systems.
  • Identifies inefficiencies and develops solutions aimed at reducing costs and enhancing business performance through assessments of company’s operations, finances, and strategies via Nearshoring or Offshoring.
  • Determines strategy and approach for building, or buying capabilities needed to drive efficiency via outsourcing partners or by building captive-centers managed and operated by the company.
  • Participates in the development of a global capability model that factors in geographical location strategy aligned to talent strategy.
  • Monitors impact of implemented changes to ensure continuous improvement and stability.
  • Drives/oversees financial and cross-functional projects/initiatives, incl. major digitalization and strategic projects ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives
  • Establishes and monitors key performance indicators (KPIs) for both finance operations and strategic projects to evaluate effectiveness and drive improvements
  • Leads and oversees strategic projects within function and across multiple functional teams, from conceptualization to planning, initiation through to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget
  • Gathers data through research, interviews, and data analysis to develop and support recommendations
  • Monitors performance of day-to-day finance operations and functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and accounting, ensuring high-quality service delivery
  • Interacts/collaborates with local/global Finance teams as well as with other departments to ensure accounting compliance with policies, procedures, and internal controls
  • Facilitates workshops and strategic discussions.
  • Identifies and mitigate financial and operational risks associated with process improvement activities and strategic initiatives
  • Assesses and responds to queries from the local/global team that are related to its scope of work
  • Champions financial awareness within the organization, including coaching and training of colleagues and direct reports

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field. Master’s degree or MBA is preferred.
  • Diverse functional experience rotating multiple corporate functions or in a top management consulting firm, leading shared services and transformation initiatives within Finance, Supply Chain/Procurement or other relevant corporate functional area.
  • Extensive experience (typically 10+ years) in building shared services and working through corporate transformations, with a strong focus on process improvement and project management.
  • Depth in vendor selection, management and onboarding ensure value-realization.
  • Proven leadership experience, with a track record of managing teams and driving strategic initiatives.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience in change management and organizational transformation projects.

REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS:

  • Demonstrated effectiveness monitoring and driving financial and operational performance.
  • Demonstrated experience in building teams, processes, and models from the ground up. Strong talent-centric approach to building nearshore & offshore capabilities and partnerships.
  • Demonstrated experience leading strategic/complex/cross-functional initiatives.
  • Demonstrated excellent business acumen and data-driven decision making.
  • Ability to lead teams in identifying and resolving complex business problems in a timely manner.
  • Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills, with the ability to regularly communicate with the CEO, CFO, Executive Committee members, and Global Finance leadership.
  • Demonstrated effectiveness in “managing by influence” those of higher title and in different functional groups.
  • Excellent problem solving and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent project management skills in development, coordination, and management of project plans.
