Accounting Manager
Overview
TalentoHC has partnered with a construction company for an Accounting Manager. The Accounting Manager will oversee all accounting functions within the company, ensuring accurate financial reporting, payroll management for engineering projects, and compliance with GAAP accounting standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, experience with QuickBooks Online, and a passion for supporting the engineering industry.
Responsibilities
- Accounting Management: Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger maintenance, and monthly reconciliations.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and present timely financial statements, reports, and analysis to management.
- Payroll Processing: Manage payroll for engineering projects, ensuring accurate time tracking and compliance with labor laws.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, monitoring variances and providing actionable insights.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with engineering and project management teams to ensure financial accuracy and project profitability.
- Audit Support: Prepare for and assist with internal and external audits as needed.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies in accounting operations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of accounting experience, preferably in the engineering or construction industry.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online is required.
- Familiarity with accounting standards is highly desirable.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members and clients.
- A proactive approach to managing tasks and meeting deadlines.
