TalentoHC has been retained by a growing airline that is evolving its Technical Operations capabilities to meet the demands of a scaling operation throughout the Americas seeking an Assistant Chief Inspector. This position is critical to ensuring airworthiness, safety, and adherence to FAA regulations and company standards across the airline’s maintenance programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Chief Inspector in overseeing the airline’s inspection program to ensure all maintenance activities meet FAA regulations, manufacturer guidelines, and internal quality standards.
  • Conduct audits, inspections, and reviews of maintenance work, technical records, and repair station operations.
  • Ensure proper documentation and compliance with all regulatory and procedural requirements related to airworthiness releases, maintenance entries, and return-to-service procedures.
  • Provide guidance and support to line and base maintenance personnel regarding inspection procedures, tooling, and technical directives.
  • Monitor and report on quality control metrics, discrepancies, and non-conformances, initiating corrective actions as required.
  • Participate in internal investigations of maintenance errors, incidents, or regulatory findings.
  • Maintain inspection records, calibration logs, and technical documentation in accordance with FAA and company retention policies.
  • Support the development and delivery of training programs for inspectors and maintenance personnel.
  • Act as the Chief Inspector’s delegate in their absence, representing the department in cross-functional meetings and regulatory interactions.

Required Qualifications:

  • FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certificate required.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in aircraft maintenance, with at least 3 years in an inspection or quality assurance role.
  • Strong working knowledge of FAA Part 121/145 regulations and air carrier maintenance programs.
  • Experience with technical records, inspection procedures, and maintenance documentation.
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively across departments and levels of leadership.
