Benefits Consultant – Temp

Talento has partnered with a growing organization that recently migrated from ADP to Rippling. The Temporary Benefits Analyst will support the Human Resources team with benefits administration and compliance-focused audits. This role is responsible for reviewing employee benefit withholdings, validating exempt and non-exempt classifications, and ensuring accuracy and compliance across payroll and benefits systems. The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail, experience conducting audits, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct audits of employee benefit withholdings to ensure accuracy, compliance, and alignment with plan elections
- Review and validate exempt and non-exempt employee classifications in partnership with HR and Payroll
- Identify discrepancies in benefit deductions, eligibility, or classifications and recommend corrective actions
- Partner closely with Payroll to reconcile deductions and ensure proper tax and benefit treatment
- Support benefits administration activities including enrollments, life events, and terminations
- Assist with documentation, reporting, and audit readiness related to benefits and payroll compliance
- Respond to employee and internal inquiries related to benefits and withholdings
- Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in benefits administration, HR operations, or payroll
- Proven experience conducting audits related to benefit withholdings and employee classifications
- Strong understanding of exempt vs. non-exempt requirements and benefits eligibility rules
- High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience working with HRIS and payroll systems
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a temporary assignment
