Corporate Accounting Analyst
TalentoHC has partnered with an industry leading property management company who is seeking a very analytical and experienced Accounting Specialist to join a growing team in the South Florida Area.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, finance, and related processes with excellent organizational skills.

This role will involve managing a variety of accounting tasks, including financial reporting, accounts receivable, and reconciliations, insurance & tax compliance, Ad-Hoc support and will support process improvements to enhance accounting efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Support the full cycle of accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoice processing, payments, and collections for their various business units.
  • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly bank reconciliations to ensure all transactions are recorded accurately.
  • Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
  • Support the month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
  • Conduct variance analysis to compare actual financial results against budgets and forecasts and provide explanations for key variances.
  • Assist in the development of budgets and financial forecasts, providing variance analysis and insights into discrepancies.
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret financial data to support decision-making and identify trends or anomalies.
  • Leverage accounting software and ERP systems to track and manage financial data, ensuring accuracy and data integrity.
  • Assist in maintaining the general ledger by posting journal entries, reconciling accounts, and ensuring accurate coding.
  • Assist with tax filings and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations.
  • Prepare and provide documentation for internal and external audits as needed.

Qualifications:

  • 4-5+ years of proven experience in accounting or finance roles.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or relevant certification is a plus).
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel; familiarity with ERP systems is required
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with various teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and local tax laws.
