Overview
TalentoHC has partnered with a leading multinational HVAC, refrigeration, and fire and security equipment corporation seeking a cost accountant will ensure the Field Service Team operates efficiently and profitably by working closely with internal and external stakeholders, managing customer visits to ensure technicians have the appropriate equipment and qualifications. They will also handle the administrative tasks associated with the team's resources and finances handling everything from quotes and purchase orders to payments and fleet management.
Responsibilities:
- Schedule customer visits, manage equipment allocation, and maintain a central calendar to maximize profitability and utilization.
- Verify technicians possess the right qualifications and equipment for each assigned site visit.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop quotes, secure purchase orders, and manage the entire procurement process for work equipment, tools, and fleet vehicles. This includes creating purchase orders, managing vendor payments, and administering fleet maintenance.
- Facilitate team and cross-functional meetings to address field service issues and provide phone support by independently resolving inquiries or directing them to the appropriate resources.
- Collect and process field service technician timesheets and overtime, ensuring timely and accurate recordkeeping.
- Partner with the Field Service Manager to provide clear pre-visit instructions to technicians, and collaborate on process improvement initiatives for the department.
- Assist field service teams with obtaining travel documentation as needed.
- Manage vendor invoicing and payment processes, reconcile jobs before billing, and finalize invoices for customers.
Qualifications:
- HS Diploma or GED Required
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred)
- 2-3 years of experience in a cost accounting or similar role (preferred)
- Experience working within a fast-paced environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Experience with scheduling and calendar management software (a plus)
- Familiarity with accounting principles and cost accounting concepts (a plus)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
