Talento has partnered with an enterprise organization searching an ER Partner in their HR Department for a 6 month contract. The Employee Relations (ER) Investigator partners closely with all Human Resources Business Partners, Legal, and both onboard and shoreside operational leaders to manage and resolve complex employee relations matters. This role is responsible for conducting thorough, impartial, and defensible investigations, ensuring issues are addressed fairly, consistently, and in compliance with company policies and applicable employment laws. The ER Investigator delivers well-documented findings, provides actionable recommendations, and oversees the implementation of outcomes to support a respectful and compliant workplace.
Responsibilities
- Conduct prompt, thorough, and impartial investigations into employee relations matters.
- Gather and evaluate evidence through interviews, document reviews, and data analysis.
- Interview complainants, witnesses, and respondents while ensuring all perspectives are fairly considered.
- Analyze investigation findings and produce clear, detailed, and defensible written reports.
- Provide recommendations for resolution that align with company policies, employment laws, and best practices.
- Partner with Human Resources, Legal, and operational leadership to address complex and sensitive situations.
- Ensure consistency and fairness in the application of policies and investigation outcomes.
- Monitor and oversee the implementation of investigation recommendations to completion.
- Identify potential risks or unintended consequences and propose mitigation strategies.
- Maintain accurate documentation and uphold confidentiality throughout the investigation process.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Human Resources, Law, or a related field; Juris Doctor (JD) preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to make informed, objective, and impartial decisions based on investigative findings.
