Are you a skilled application engineer with a strong command of SQL and Windows Server environments? Do you thrive in a collaborative setting and enjoy ensuring seamless application performance across departments?
This role partners with IT leadership and departments across finance, marketing, records, and administration to maintain smooth, uninterrupted application performance. Strong communication, technical, and analytical skills are required, with a primary focus on SQL (querying, reporting, maintenance, and updates), Windows Servers, and cloud services. Some programming knowledge is beneficial but not essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with team members to integrate, update, and manage essential applications across finance, time tracking, marketing, and other areas.
- Conduct implementations, upgrades, maintenance, and configurations for a range of applications.
- Oversee platform administration, especially SQL, reporting, Active Directory, cloud integration, and server management.
- Work cross-departmentally on projects and system upgrades, identifying potential impacts and coordinating with relevant stakeholders.
- Perform regular system checks, security patches, and maintenance, including database and server updates.
- Document system configurations, backups, disaster recovery steps, and how-to guides for common queries.
- Manage support tickets, troubleshoot user issues, and optimize system performance.
- Explore and evaluate new tools to enhance application effectiveness.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years working with accounting, time tracking, billing, or related software, ideally in a professional services environment.
- Strong SQL skills and familiarity with reporting, system integrations, and database structures.
- Technical knowledge in Windows Server, PowerShell, and common programming or scripting languages.
- Demonstrated problem-solving ability and capability to work independently.
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical staff.
Additional Requirements:
- Ability to work beyond typical business hours as necessary to support critical firm functions.
- Preparedness to provide backup support for the IT team during firm operations.
