HR Generalist

Overview:
TalentoHC has partnered with a fantastic consumer goods and apparel company looking to bring on a HR Generalist to their team! The HR Generalist will handle day to day Human Resources tasks including but not limited to: HRIS administration, onboarding/offboarding, HR ticket management, employee relations, leave of absence, investigations, and special projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the entire leave process from notification to return, ensuring all required paperwork is gathered and completed. Determine leave eligibility, designate leave types, request medical certifications, and track intermittent and reduced schedule leave.
  • Communicate with employees regarding their leave and accommodation needs, keeping them informed about their responsibilities and necessary documentation. Maintain reasonable communication with employees on leave to ensure a smooth return to work.
  • Provide guidance to managers and employees on the interaction of leave laws with paid time off, workers’ compensation, and disability benefits. Draft and recommend revisions to company leave policies to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
  • Oversee the return-to-work process for employees returning from leave or workers’ compensation. Facilitate other leave requests, including accommodations under ADA, PWFA, USERRA, and related regulations.
  • Maintain complete and accurate records of leave and accommodation requests in compliance with legal requirements. Preserve the confidentiality of employee medical documentation and files, and stay updated on applicable leave and accommodation laws (FMLA, ADA, state, and local laws).
  • Assisting with complex employee relations issues and conducting investigations.
  • Managing HRIS entries for new hires, terminations, and other status changes.
  • Supporting the processes for pre-employment, onboarding, and offboarding.
  • Responding to questions from applicants, employees, and leaders.
  • Collecting and analyzing HR data from various sources.
  • Maintaining employee records in accordance with legal requirements.
  • Ensuring accurate data entry in the ADP system.
  • Performing additional related tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years’ experience in Human Resources 
  • Minimum one year of experience in resolving complex employee relations issues. 
  • Minimum two years of experience managing leaves nationally. 
  • Minimum one year of experience with ADP Workforce. 
  • Experience working within a Human Resources team for a multi-regional or national team. 
  • Well-developed administrative skills as well as superior oral and written communication skills 
  • Superior interpersonal abilities, conflict resolution and negotiation skills, ability to get along with diverse personalities, tactful, mature, flexible. 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate when necessary. 
  • Thorough understanding of employment laws and regulations. 
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
