Overview
TalentoHC has partnered with a personal care products company to find an experienced and driven Inventory Control Manager to ensure inventory accuracy, visibility and optimization across a multi-node supply chain that includes CMOs (Contract Manufacturing Organizations), 3PLs and distribution centers. This role plays a critical part in balancing service levels, working capital and operational efficiency by managing inventory processes, controls and reporting for finished goods, components and packaging materials.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate inventory across CMOs, 3PLs, and internal systems
  • Lead cycle counts, physical inventories and discrepancy resolution
  • Partner with CMOs to track raw materials, WIP and finished goods; investigate production variances
  • Work closely with 3PL partners to ensure inventory accuracy, proper receiving and order fulfillment
  • Monitor inbound and outbound shipments and ensure system alignment
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, including production variances and shipment issues
  • Monitor inventory movements and ensure MRP/WMS alignment
  • Develop and report on KPIs (accuracy, turns, aging, service levels)
  • Generate regular inventory reports and insights for leadership
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain, Planning, Procurement and Finance on inventory strategy
  • Align on safety stock, replenishment strategies and obsolescence risk
  • Support S&OP with accurate inventory visibility
  • Ensure compliance with lot tracking, shelf life and audit requirements

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business administration or related field
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in inventory control management ideally with personal care, CPG, or similar product
  • Experience working with CMOs and 3PLs is required
  • Strong knowledge of inventory management, demand planning and supplier management principles
  • Ability to manage multi-site inventory environments
  • Excellent cross-functional communication, negotiation and relationship management skills
  • Strong problem-solving abilities with a focus on continuous improvement
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proficiency with MRP/WMS systems (Sage 100 or other) and data analysis tools such as SQL

Salary: Base $100K – $120K + bonus
