TalentoHC is actively partnered with an organization seeking a L3 IT Support Technician to deliver exceptional customer service and technical support by troubleshooting, triage, and management of incident lifecycle for all supported business groups.
Responsibilities:
- Respond to escalations from IT Tech support team.
- Configure, deploy, and maintain IT equipment such as servers, desktops, laptops, and mobile devices.
- Respond to technical requests using the helpdesk management system – track issues to resolution while updating internal knowledge base and communicating to users.
- Perform routine maintenance on servers, networks, and critical IT systems.
- Monitor system performance, ensuring optimal functionality and uptime.
- Executes error analysis of various server systems and network infrastructure on a regular basis.
- Diagnose and resolve advanced hardware, software, and network issues.
- Support the configuration and management of switches, routers, and firewalls. Review daily network and server performance issues including but not limited to availability, utilization, and latency. Make recommendations for possible solutions to improve network systems
- Monitor and maintain network security protocols.
- Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
- Provide training or mentoring to junior IT staff.
- Lead or assist in IT projects, including system upgrades, migrations, and deployments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project success.
- Communicate technical concepts clearly and effectively to non-technical users.
- Manage problem resolutions with third party vendors
- Assist in management of Sentinel One endpoint detection and response system.
- Assist in patch management for workstation, servers and network infrastructure equipment reviewing, installing, and troubleshooting issues that surface
- Update daily status reports and ticket notes
- Participate in afterhours and weekend on-call support as needed
- Manage Office 365/Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and telephony, including password changes and account resets
- Assist for creating and maintaining network documentation and procedures
- Flexible schedule that includes the ability to occasionally work outside of normal business hours
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
- 5+ years of technical support experience
- High school diploma or GED required
- BS in Information Systems or Networking Technologies preferred
- Strong technical ability and troubleshooting skills
- Strong helpdesk experience, including support for Windows 10, Windows 11, and Windows Server operating systems.
- Advanced knowledge in Windows server and workstations in a Microsoft domain.
- Knowledge in Microsoft SQL Server, Windows Server Operating Systems as well as Windows Servers
- Knowledge of LAN and WAN technologies
