Lead Web Developer

TalentoHC is collaborating with a private organization to identify a Lead Web Developer to join their team with the goal of enhancing their digital presence. As a Lead Web Developer, you will be responsible for owning, optimizing, and maintaining the website. Your expertise in web development, content management systems, and SEO will be essential in ensuring our website is visually appealing, user-friendly, and effective in achieving our online goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with marketing vendors and design teams to create engaging website content.
  • Creating and maintaining the website's layout, content, and functionality.
  • Adding, editing, and deleting content on the website.
  • Design and develop responsive websites using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Manage and update content on our website using a content management system (CMS)
  • Optimizing the website for search engines (SEO) to improve visibility and traffic.
  • Identifying and resolving problems with the website or server.
  • Assisting users with any questions or problems they may encounter.
  • Troubleshoot website issues and provide technical support.
  • Stay updated on web development trends and technologies.
  • Manage and mentor a team of web developers, designers, and content creators.
    • Assign tasks, delegate responsibilities, and monitor progress.
    • Provide guidance and support to team members to ensure their success.
    • Foster a collaborative and productive work environment.
  • Manage external vendors for website development, hosting, or other services.
    • Ensure adherence to timelines and budgets, and monitor vendor performance.
    • Resolve any issues or disputes with vendors in a timely and professional manner.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in web development or a similar role.
  • Proven experience leading and managing web teams, fostering a collaborative work environment, and developing team members.
  • Ability to select, negotiate with, and manage external vendors, evaluate proposals, and resolve issues in a timely manner.
  • Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Proficiency in a content management system (e.g., WordPress, Drupal).
  • Experience with SEO best practices and tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics) preferred.
