About the Opportunity

TalentoHC is partnering with a client organization seeking a Leave of Absence & Accommodations Specialist to join its Human Resources team. This role is responsible for administering and coordinating all employee leave of absence and workplace accommodation programs while ensuring compliance with company policies and all applicable federal, state, and local regulations. The specialist will serve as the primary point of contact for employees, managers, HR partners, and third-party leave administrators, delivering an exceptional employee experience while maintaining strict confidentiality and legal compliance. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and knowledgeable in multi-state leave administration. This individual will guide employees through the leave process from initiation through return to work, ensuring timely communication, accurate documentation, and a seamless employee experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer and coordinate employee leave of absence and workplace accommodation programs, including FMLA, ADA, disability, military, and state leave programs
  • Serve as the primary contact for employees, managers, HR partners, and third-party administrators throughout the leave process
  • Review leave documentation, medical certifications, and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
  • Maintain accurate leave records, HRIS data, tracking systems, and prepare leave-related reports and metrics
  • Partner with third-party vendors and internal stakeholders to support employee needs and resolve complex leave cases
  • Identify opportunities to improve leave administration processes while maintaining confidentiality and a positive employee experience

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience administering employee leave of absence and workplace accommodation programs
  • Strong knowledge of FMLA, ADA, state leave laws, disability programs, and multi-state leave administration
  • Experience supporting California leave regulations and partnering with third-party leave administrators preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or Google Workspace; UKG experience preferred
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and analytical skills with the ability to manage confidential information in a fast-paced environment
