Manager, Global Air Sourcing
As the Manager of Global Air Sourcing, you will play a pivotal role within the Global Air Sourcing group. You will lead contract negotiations with airlines and GDS providers worldwide, leveraging key insights derived from data and analytics. Collaborating with brands across different regions, you will help shape strategy in guest, crew, and corporate travel while implementing recommendations to maximize cost savings and operational efficiencies.
Responsibilities
- Negotiate contracts with airlines globally and with GDS partners, utilizing data, airline industry knowledge, sourcing expertise, and negotiation skills to secure the most competitive fares and terms for guest, crew, and corporate travel programs.
- Analyze dashboards, reports, and industry trends to uncover opportunities, develop actionable recommendations, and negotiate to implement improvements.
- Proactively identify opportunities to enhance air product offerings, including researching and establishing new airline relationships.
- Develop and maintain relationships with airlines, GDS partners, and internal stakeholders, meeting regularly to stay informed of industry trends, requirements, and changes.
- Utilize data to analyze performance, quantify savings, and report insights to internal stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
- Background in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Supply Chain, Analytics, Hospitality, or a related field.
- 5-8 years of experience in the aviation industry.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, and commercial acumen.
- Must have excellent problem-solving abilities and a highly driven, self-motivated approach.
- Strategic sourcing experience are a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Power BI.
