Product Designer; Plush
Contract – Plantation, FL (HQ)
Overview
TalentoHC has partnered with an exciting consumer products company to hire a Product Designer (Plush) for an exciting brand. In this role, you’ll help bring characters to life in plush form, combining creativity, soft goods expertise, and brand alignment to deliver engaging, on-brand products. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a beloved licensed property in a fast-paced, creative environment.
Responsibilities
- Support the plush product design team in developing new soft goods concepts for licensed characters.
- Create sketches, design specs, and fabric/material callouts for plush toys.
- Ensure character likeness and brand consistency from 2D to 3D plush translation.
- Collaborate with Product Development, Marketing, and Licensing teams for approvals.
- Work with partners and factories to review prototypes and ensure quality execution.
- Participate in creative brainstorms and trend research for plush category innovation.
- Maintain strict confidentiality on all aspects of the licensed brand.
- Support the preparation of internal and licensor presentations and sample reviews.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design, Toy Design, or related field.
- 2–4 years of plush or soft goods product design experience, preferably in toys or licensed goods.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop).
- Strong sketching and 3D visualization skills.
- Familiarity with plush construction techniques and materials.
- Experience interpreting and applying style guides.
- Excellent time management and organization skills.
- Eye for playful, character-driven, and emotionally engaging design.
Hourly Pay Rate (Commensurate with Candidate Experience): $30 – $33/hr
