Overview:
The Purchasing Manager is responsible for ensuring a reliable supply of assigned products at the best possible cost. This role manages supplier relationships, negotiates agreements, monitors pricing compliance, and develops strategies to optimize supply chain efficiency and cost effectiveness.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Ensure continuous supply of competitively priced products across distribution centers.
  • Negotiate and execute supplier agreements, including pricing, terms, and supply commitments.
  • Develop and maintain supply matrices to achieve the lowest landed product cost.
  • Monitor pricing compliance, review schedules, and resolve discrepancies.
  • Evaluate supplier performance, capacity, and financial stability.
  • Develop and implement short- and long-term category strategies.
  • Support promotional and new product rollouts, including production schedules and timelines.
  • Prepare reports and presentations for leadership and committees.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to support business priorities and product innovation.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
  • 4–6 years of direct, relevant purchasing or supply chain experience.
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
