TalentoHC is partnering with an enterprise client seeking an experienced Safety Manager to lead night shift safety operations in a fast-paced warehouse and food processing environment.
Role Overview
The Safety Manager will oversee workplace safety across operations during night hours, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards (OSHA, ANSI, FDA, etc.) and internal protocols. This role includes supervising a team of safety professionals, responding to incidents, conducting inspections, and fostering a culture of safety through training and leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of safety personnel across night shift operations.
- Implement and manage safety programs, procedures, and training.
- Monitor compliance with local, state, and federal safety regulations.
- Conduct incident investigations and root cause analysis.
- Provide guidance to department leaders and serve as a key safety resource.
- Maintain strong on-the-floor presence and cross-functional collaboration.
- Support continuous improvement of safety policies and practices.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of safety-related experience, preferably in warehousing or manufacturing.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- OSHA 30 and other relevant safety certifications (OTI 500-level preferred).
- Excellent communication, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills.
- Comfortable in bilingual (English/Spanish or French) work environments.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Teams, Outlook, Google Suite.
- Experience with safety management software (e.g., Origami preferred).
- Familiarity with scheduling and reporting tools.
Work Conditions
- Night shift: 8:00 PM – 5:00 AM EST.
- Must be able to work on-site, including weekends and holidays.
- Able to work in cold environments, operate warehouse equipment, and respond to emergencies.
