Sr Accountant
Talento has partnered with an organization that is experiencing high growth. Although a start up environment, they partner with Fortune500 companies to deliver on multi million dollar projects across the globe. This newly created role will support all aspects of accounting and financial operations and play an integral part in the continued development of their accounting function, including supporting an ERP implementation.
Responsibilities:
- Perform month-end close activities, including preparation of journal entries and reconciliations for various balance sheet and income statement accounts
- Participate in monthly, quarterly, and year end reconciliations, ensuring accurate results are delivered timely for reporting
- Invoice processing, including scanning, coding, and entering miscellaneous invoices for payment
- Process credit cards and prepare credit card expense reports
- Enter workflow and submit for approval to designated project accountant, project team, and departments
- Assists with the monthly owner billing, which includes preparation of monthly billing backup, setting up and maintaining electronic job files, assisting with procedure for project close-out, and other project tasks as needed
- Keep the general ledger for global projects
- Assist with Special Assignments that may arise, including the collection and submission of insurance certificates, and addressing discrepancies in contract compliance by creating and analyzing non-compliance reports
Requirements:
- 2+ years of public accounting experience
- CPA or eligibility to obtain CPA
- Solid understanding of US GAAP
- Strong work ethic with detail-oriented, organized personality with the ability to multi-task and problem solve
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume, heavy deadline-driven environment.
- Must demonstrate experience performing functions efficiently and accurately with little direct supervision
- Should have the ability to develop and maintain a positive effective working relationship with subcontractors, vendors, co-workers, and managers.
- Must be proficient in Excel, Word, and Outlook.
