The Project Manager, Social Media is a strategic and creative leader responsible for developing and executing comprehensive social media strategies that enhance brand presence, engagement, and business performance. This role partners cross-functionally and with external agencies to deliver impactful content, campaigns, and community engagement while leveraging data and insights to continuously optimize results. The position requires a balance of strategic thinking, hands-on execution, and stakeholder management in a fast-paced, highly visible environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive social media strategy aligned with overall marketing and business objectives
- Plan and manage multi-channel social campaigns, including content creation, publishing, and real-time event coverage
- Build and oversee content strategies across major and emerging platforms to drive engagement, brand advocacy, and growth
- Manage and optimize social media calendars to balance promotional, engagement, and brand storytelling initiatives
- Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, communications, operations, customer service, and other internal teams
- Partner with external agencies, creators, and influencers to expand reach and enhance content quality
- Establish and enforce social media guidelines, policies, and best practices to ensure brand consistency and compliance
- Lead community management efforts to strengthen customer relationships and brand loyalty
- Analyze performance metrics and social media data to drive insights, optimize campaigns, and inform decision-making
- Report performance, insights, and recommendations to senior leadership and key stakeholders
- Manage budgets, track spend, and measure ROI of social media initiatives
- Stay current on industry trends, emerging platforms, and innovations to keep the brand competitive
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field
- 10+ years of experience in social media management, preferably within consumer-facing and matrixed organizations
- Proven track record of developing and executing successful social media strategies and campaigns
- Deep knowledge of social media platforms, tools, analytics, and best practices
- Experience with social media management platforms (e.g., Sprinklr or similar) and Microsoft Office tools
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights
- Experience managing real-time content and live event coverage
- Demonstrated ability to present strategies and insights to senior leadership
- Strong leadership, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills
- Creative thinker with a passion for innovation and staying ahead of trends
- Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills
