Sr Manager of Accounting and Finance
The Role
Provide strategic financial, accounting, and operational support, ensuring alignment with our mission to promote health and community well-being nationwide. This role is essential for driving financial planning, budgeting, and operational excellence that contribute to the long-term success of our initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Finance, Budgeting, and Accounting:
- Manage the annual budgeting process, including departmental budgets, financial projections, and long-term planning.
- Possess an understanding of zero-based budgeting and experience in developing and tracking KPIs to support financial and operational performance.
- Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring compliance with GAAP.
- Provide financial insights to senior leadership to support decision-making and long-term planning.
- Continuously improve financial processes, budgeting systems, and reporting.
- Liaise with regional leadership on financial items, including audit requests and funding accountability.
- Oversee daily financial operations such as invoices, purchase orders, and contracts.
- Manage reporting and tracking of value-in-kind contributions for audit and financial statement recognition.
- Support ad hoc reporting, financial modeling, and special projects for senior leadership.
Fulfillment Operations:
- Oversee product inventory, including scheduling updates and tracking usage.
- Provide strategic support to the operations team on inventory management, order processing, and logistics.
- Monitor KPIs related to fulfillment operations and implement improvements.
Leadership and Team Management:
- Lead cross-functional collaboration between finance, accounting, and operations teams to achieve organizational objectives.
Who You Are
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field (CPA or MBA a plus).
- 7-10 years of experience in finance, budgeting, accounting, and/or fulfillment operations, with at least 1-2 years in a managerial role.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and budgeting.
- Experience in supply chain management, logistics, or fulfillment operations is a plus.
- Proficiency in financial management software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across all levels of the organization.
- Detail-oriented and well-organized.
- High proficiency in Excel, capable of analyzing large datasets and developing financial models.
- Experience with complex bank reconciliations, including high-volume credit card settlements.
- Motivated and a self-starter.
