Sr Manager of Accounting and Finance

The Role

Provide strategic financial, accounting, and operational support, ensuring alignment with our mission to promote health and community well-being nationwide. This role is essential for driving financial planning, budgeting, and operational excellence that contribute to the long-term success of our initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Finance, Budgeting, and Accounting:

  • Manage the annual budgeting process, including departmental budgets, financial projections, and long-term planning.
  • Possess an understanding of zero-based budgeting and experience in developing and tracking KPIs to support financial and operational performance.
  • Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring compliance with GAAP.
  • Provide financial insights to senior leadership to support decision-making and long-term planning.
  • Continuously improve financial processes, budgeting systems, and reporting.
  • Liaise with regional leadership on financial items, including audit requests and funding accountability.
  • Oversee daily financial operations such as invoices, purchase orders, and contracts.
  • Manage reporting and tracking of value-in-kind contributions for audit and financial statement recognition.
  • Support ad hoc reporting, financial modeling, and special projects for senior leadership.

Fulfillment Operations:

  • Oversee product inventory, including scheduling updates and tracking usage.
  • Provide strategic support to the operations team on inventory management, order processing, and logistics.
  • Monitor KPIs related to fulfillment operations and implement improvements.

Leadership and Team Management:

  • Lead cross-functional collaboration between finance, accounting, and operations teams to achieve organizational objectives.

Who You Are

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field (CPA or MBA a plus).
  • 7-10 years of experience in finance, budgeting, accounting, and/or fulfillment operations, with at least 1-2 years in a managerial role.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and budgeting.
  • Experience in supply chain management, logistics, or fulfillment operations is a plus.
  • Proficiency in financial management software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Detail-oriented and well-organized.
  • High proficiency in Excel, capable of analyzing large datasets and developing financial models.
  • Experience with complex bank reconciliations, including high-volume credit card settlements.
  • Motivated and a self-starter.
