Overview
TalentoHC has partnered with an industry leading provider of satellite products and services that is in search for a Systems Architect to specialize in the aviation division supporting commercial airlines. This role will lead the system definition, requirements managemet, architectural design, and integration and testing of aviation solutions through the full product lifecycle. This position will collaborate with technical teams to define and integrate solutions that exceed customer expectations, adhere to quality objectives, and address product, market, and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Define the solution level architecture, technical scope, and key interfaces of the system.
  • Draft technical system requirements based on market and customer requirements.
  • Create interface control documents, system descriptions, whitepapers, and other essential technical documents for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with software, hardware, and network engineering teams to ensure that the technical solution’s implementation aligns with system requirements.
  • Develop and execute test procedures to validate system functionality and performance. Identify and manage test environments and equipment as needed.
  • Serve as the technical point of contact for customers, OEMs, partners, and subcontractors for key pursuits and projects. Participate in technical meetings and design reviews.
  • Work with both internal and external stakeholders to document technical scope and level of effort for each discipline.
  • This position may require occasional travel, up to 20%.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, aviation, or a related technical field.
  • 3+ years of relevant experience.
  • Previous experience with satcom connectivity systems, avionics, and commercial aircraft installations.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated technical competency in developing system requirements and defining system architecture.
  • Ability to influence a variety of stakeholders to establish technical concurrence.
  • Strong knowledge of all phases of the software development lifecycle, including requirements development, design, implementation, testing, and deployment.
  • Basic knowledge of FAA/EASA processes.
  • Strong time-management skills and self-discipline.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Familiarity with requirements management tools.
  • Experience working at an aircraft manufacturer, MRO, or manufacturer of aircraft connectivity products.
