Director, Workforce Management

Talento has partnered with a cutting-edge digital healthcare organization focused on delivering innovative solutions to enhance patient care and streamline healthcare processes. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced **Director of Workforce Management** to oversee and optimize the staffing operations for over 1,000 healthcare providers, including physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals. This key leadership role is responsible for managing all aspects of workforce planning, hiring, credentialing, scheduling, and onboarding, ensuring the seamless delivery of healthcare services across the organization.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in healthcare workforce management, with a proven track record of overseeing large teams of medical professionals, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and aligning staffing needs with organizational goals.

Responsibilities:
 

  • Leadership & Workforce Management:
    •  Lead the workforce management function, overseeing a team responsible for the staffing and operations of over 1,000 fractional healthcare providers, including physicians and nurses. Ensure efficient utilization and deployment of personnel to meet organizational needs.
  • Hiring & Recruitment:
    • Develop and implement recruitment strategies to attract top healthcare talent. Collaborate with HR and clinical leaders to manage the hiring process, ensuring the timely acquisition of qualified providers.
  • Credentialing & Compliance:
    • Ensure that all healthcare providers are properly credentialed and maintain compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies. Oversee the credentialing process to guarantee readiness for clinical practice.
  • Scheduling & Staffing Optimization:
    •  Lead scheduling operations to ensure appropriate staffing levels for healthcare services, optimizing provider availability and minimizing gaps in coverage. Develop and manage staffing models that meet the dynamic needs of healthcare delivery.
  • Onboarding & Training:
    • Oversee the onboarding of new healthcare providers, ensuring a smooth transition into the organization. Facilitate initial training and orientation programs to integrate staff into the workforce effectively.
  • Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement:
    • Collaborate with clinical leadership, operations, and HR teams to align workforce strategies with organizational goals. Ensure clear communication of staffing and workforce needs across departments.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making:
    •  Utilize data and analytics to inform workforce planning, identify trends, and optimize staffing efficiency. Regularly assess workforce performance metrics and adjust strategies as necessary.
  • Workforce Planning & Forecasting:
    •  Develop and execute long-term workforce plans to meet current and future staffing needs. Forecast workforce demands based on organizational growth, service line expansion, and seasonal trends.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Management, or a related field. A master’s degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in healthcare workforce management. 
  • Proven experience managing a large workforce of healthcare providers, including physicians and nurses. 
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare credentialing and compliance requirements. 
  • Experience in scheduling and staffing within a healthcare setting.
  • Leadership and team management skills. 
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities. 
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills. 
  • Proficiency in workforce management systems and data analytics. 
  • Ability to navigate complex regulatory environments and ensure compliance.
