TalentoHC is actively partnered with a Healthcare organization seeking a Head of Finance.
The Head of Finance will lead all companywide strategic efforts related to Finance, including intra-year financial KPI reporting, identify and execute on corrective actions determined by such reporting, tax compliance, and end of year financial reporting. The Head of Finance is also responsible for the Finance department’s strategy and the accomplishment of the departmental goals. Furthermore, the Head of Finance is meant to represent the company’s financial strategic initiatives to other departments and to our customers when required. Proven executive-level leadership qualities and management capabilities are highly recommended with the ability to accomplish short-term and long-term goals. Ability to lead and motivate people to perform within their department and influence key people outside of their department. This individual is a member of the Executive Team, reporting directly to the CEO and responsible for contributing to the overall strategy of the company.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for Financial Strategy and ensuring that company’s financial benchmarking, projects and performance goals are met.
- Acts on behalf of the CEO (and when needed Board of Directors) to the company and (when necessary, customers) with regards to financial strategy and obstacles
- Establishes Finance’s company-wide best practices, policies, and procedures
- Monitors company performance and pinpoints areas of concerns or success.
- Ensures Financial checks and balances exist amongst the accounting team and the organization.
- Assigning duties and deadlines to the financial department
- Advises and guides other Executive Team members
- Oversees tax accounting, treasury functions, financial policies, and procedures.
- Ensures processes and procedures are in line with compliance and regulations. This includes being up to date on any changes in GAAP which impact the accounting and reporting.
- Responsible for Financial Analytics and Financial reports to department heads, executive team, and board of directors.
- Oversees company accounting, budgeting, and cash flow management
- Supervise and evaluate performance of accounting team ensuring timely reporting of financial information in line with the company’s goals and objectives
- Oversees Cash management, including monitoring cash balances, capital requirements, investment funding, manage reserves, etc.
- Oversees tax reporting, and end of year closing. Ensures end of year closing milestones are met and that tax return is filed on time. Work closely with external parties, including auditors and tax professionals.
- Manages insurance, building and facilities needs.

- Strong knowledge and command of all financial, tax and regulatory requirements
- Able to adapt and be comfortable leading in a dynamic, high growth environment with competing priorities
- Strong personal leadership qualities; a track record of recruiting, motivating, and developing direct reports
- Effective in building relationships with peers, direct reports, and other business leaders.
- Experience working in corporate finance. Ability to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, rules, and policies that impact or may impact the company.
- Experience with implementation of financial software
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills; must interact effectively with various levels of our organization and of our customer institutions
- Ability to multi-task and work effectively in an entrepreneurial environment
Qualifications
- Knowledge and capabilities normally acquired through at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Business or a discipline closely associated with Finance. Highly recommend a Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a discipline closely associated with Finance
- Minimum of ten years’ experience sufficient to demonstrate extensive knowledge in finance function and analytics.
