About the Opportunity
TalentoHC is partnering with a leading academic institution seeking a Workday HR Administrator specializing in Benefits and Leave Administration to join their Human Resources team. This role will be responsible for leave processing, benefits plan auditing, employee data management, and employee communications. The ideal candidate brings hands-on benefits and leave experience, strong data management skills, and a collaborative communication style.
This opportunity offers the chance to work within a dynamic HR environment, contributing to the day-to-day operations that directly support faculty and staff. The role is ideal for an organized, detail-oriented HR professional with Workday experience who thrives in a fast-paced, people-first environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process employee leave requests in accordance with federal, state, and company policies (FMLA, STD, PTO, etc.)
  • Audit benefit plans to ensure accuracy, compliance, and data integrity
  • Perform accurate and timely data entry and updates in Colleague (ERP system)
  • Draft and distribute clear, professional communications to employees regarding benefits, leave status, and plan changes
  • Partner with HR and Payroll teams to resolve discrepancies and support employee inquiries
  • Support open enrollment processes and benefit vendor coordination as needed

Qualifications

  • Prior experience in Benefits Administration and Leave Management
  • Proficiency with Workday HRIS
  • Strong Excel skills including data manipulation, lookups, and auditing
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to correspond professionally with employees at all levels
  • Adaptable and flexible – comfortable navigating shifting priorities in a dynamic environment
