TalentoHC Acquires R2 Global
Innovative IT Talent, Global SolutionsTalentoHC has expanded its presence in the global technology recruitment sector with the acquisition of R2 Global, a U.K.-based technology recruiting firm specializing in delivering cloud & data, business systems, and e-commerce talent in North America & Europe. Hunt Scanlon Ventures, the Greenwich-based human capital M&A advisory firm, facilitated the transaction.
Talento Human Capital has acquired R2 Global, a highly respected technology recruitment and staffing firm known for its niche expertise across cloud & data, business systems, and e-commerce. Hunt Scanlon Ventures, based in Greenwich, Conn., served as an advisor on the deal. This strategic move will expand TalentoHC’s existing footprint in the technology sector and strengthen its technology search & staffing service lines. “The combination of TalentoHC’s talent acquisition expertise, particularly executive search and RPO, with R2’s deep technical focus marks an exciting new chapter for both organizations,” said Juan Gaitan, CEO of TalentoHC, based in Coral Gables, FL. “”R2’s agile approach, people-first culture, and innovative team enhance our ability to deliver top-tier technology staffing and professional recruiting solutions. This partnership accelerates our mission to provide tailored recruitment strategies that drive efficiency in hiring and maximize enterprise recruiting investments. As R2 Powered by Talento, we’re expanding our impact—offering executive, management, and professional talent solutions alongside contingent workforce options both onshore and nearshore, making us an even stronger partner for our customers.”
Scaling for Growth
“TalentoHC and R2 Global customers will tremendously benefit from the portfolio of human capital offerings from the combined organization,” said Scott A. Scanlon, CEO and co-founder of Hunt Scanlon Ventures. “The value-creation at the customer level with the multi-function, and multi-service approach creates a new breed of integration that the marketplace is ripe for,” he noted. “Simply put, this deal brings deep leadership, expertise and capabilities to the marketplace for tremendous growth in a consolidating industry.”
“Since its inception in 2017, TalentoHC has consistently doubled its revenues year-over-year, solidifying its reputation as a firm to watch. By bringing together two firms with a 30-year legacy and two rapidly scaling 8-year firms, this partnership strikes the perfect balance between agility and longevity—positioning the firm for sustained success and industry leadership in the years ahead,” said HSV managing director Drew Seaman. “TalentoHC can now take these solutions offerings to a wider market and scale it to meet the growing demand for integrated talent solutions that eliminate the friction caused by multiple vendors within the same customers. A firm built to operate as an extension of an HR department but with the results-orientation and high caliber execution of top tier professional services firms,” he noted.
Founded in 2018 and headquartered in Newcastle upon Tyne, U.K., R2 Global focuses on technology recruiting for the technology & software, higher education & research, government, financial services, manufacturing, and consumer goods industries. The firm has conducted 950 placements since its founding. Key clients include Yale University, Kohler, Options Clearing Corporation (OCC), Dynatrace, States of Louisiana & Texas, Deloitte, and Champion Sportswear, among many others.
Funding Round
“Joining forces with TalentoHC provides a tremendous opportunity to amplify what we’ve built,” said R2 Global Managing Director’s Ryan Best, Chris Gath and Archie Hughes. “Under the banner of R2 Powered by Talento, we will continue to serve our customers and candidates with the same dedication and expertise, now with expanded service offerings in recruiting & human capital consulting alongside a rich customer experience model and a broader global network,” they added.
“This acquisition is a major win for Ryan, Chris and Archie,” said Mr. Seaman. “R2 Global customers will now gain access to TalentoHC’s global platform with a robust suite of business-focused talent services in Consumer goods, travel & tourism, aviation, hospitality, manufacturing, construction, real estate, and financial services while creating tremendous synergies within marketing, creative, and consumer goods. The expansion possibilities are endless.”
The acquisition of R2 Global – TalentoHC’s first outside the U.S. – comes on the heels of TalentoHC’s recent round of growth funding, said Mr. Scanlon. “With all the proper pieces in place now, Juan, Andrea and team are positioned to cross-sell the firms capabilities across key functions such as Finance, Marketing, Supply Chain, Human Resources and Legal while also bolstering their existing Digital & Technology practice,” he said. R2 Global, noted Mr. Scanlon, brings a team of 35 associates.

Recent Acquisition
Just a few weeks ago, TalentoHC acquired The PeterSan Group and PeterSan Legal Staffing, with Hunt Scanlon Ventures serving as an advisor to both organizations.
“The PeterSan transaction fits in well with our platform strategy as we build onto our customer-centric model and expand our industry and functional vertical focus,” said Mr. Gaitan. The intersection of these two approaches, he said, “will create opportunities for continued growth and value for our customers, candidates, associates and shareholders.”
“The acquisition of The PeterSan Group and PeterSan Legal Staffing creates a significant new growth lane for TalentoHC,” said Mr. Scanlon, who along with Mr. Seaman facilitated the transaction. “This merger brings together The PeterSan Group’s decades-long expertise in legal recruitment with TalentoHC’s broad human capital solutions,” said Mr. Seaman.
