Sales Associate

TalentoHC has partnered with a global Consumer Brand Company to find a Sales Associate responsible for engaging with national customer accounts to boost sales and manage all aspects of customer relationships. This role supports the growth and management of a diverse product portfolio and requires coordination across various internal departments, including Sales, Pricing, Contracts, Supply Chain, Finance and Regulatory.

Responsibilities

  • Support sales efforts, forecasting, goal planning and budget management for the assigned territory to maximize gross margin and net sales
  • Develop a thorough understanding of the product portfolio, competitive landscape, customer base, and the relationships between wholesalers, distributors, retailers and sales channels
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Supply Chain, Customer Service and Operations to manage sales activities
  • Expand current customer base and identify new customer opportunities
  • Analyze sales and market trends for the product portfolio and competitive products
  • Collect market pricing data for current and upcoming product launches
  • Support new product launches by gathering prospective customer data and sharing with the internal team
  • Work with the contract team to respond to customer RFPs
  • Implement approved promotional and marketing plans to achieve product distribution and maximize sales
  • Monitor accounts and product sales to ensure inventory turnover before products become short-dated
  • Work with Finance team to track and manage receivable balances of customer accounts
  • Lead regular sales meetings with customers to discuss product offerings and supply chain updates
  • Attend industry tradeshows and conferences to engage with existing and potential customers

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications or related fiel
  • 2+ years of account management experience involving direct contact with industry buyers
  • Knowledge of consumer product distribution channels and classes of trade; familiarity with consumer and seasonality trends is a plus
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently with periodic review
  • Capable of interpreting data to form strategic recommendations
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work across departments and organizational levels
  • Proficiency with MS Office with strong Excel skills

Comp: $75-$80k
