Data Architect

They are a established, yet growing organization with several brands below them where you'll be able to come and make an immediate impact to how their business and the overall industry operates from a technology perspective in a highly collaborative environment. As a data architect, you'll be a key member to the overall IT organization and be responsible for the design, development, and implementation of robust data architecture solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Data Analytics highly preferred
- 8+ years of experience in data engineering with at least 2 years in data architecture
- Proven experience delivering complex
- Able to gather and understand business requirements, translate them into scalable data solutions, and ensure the integrity, availability, and security of their data assets
- Experience designing and implementing data solutions like MDMs, EDW, Data lakes in a cloud environment preferably on Azure
- Proven expertise in data modeling, database design, and database management systems
- Strong understanding of data governance, data quality, and security best practices
- Experience with both relational and non-relational databases
- Proficiency in data integration tools and techniques
- Good communication and interpersonal experience
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive data architecture that aligns with the business goals and objectives
- Design scalable and efficient data models, ensuring optimal performance and flexibility
- Define and implement data governance policies and procedures to ensure data quality, integrity, and security
- Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and enforce data standards and best practices
- Oversee the selection, implementation, and optimization of database management systems
- Provide expertise in relational and non-relational databases, optimizing performance and ensuring data accessibility
- Lead the design and implementation of data integration solutions, ensuring seamless flow of information across the organization
- Collaborate with ETL developers to create efficient and scalable data pipelines
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders, to understand data requirements and deliver solutions
- Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences and provide guidance on data-related matters
