Manager, Finance & Accounting 

Overview: 
 
Reporting directly to the CEO leading a mix portfolio of investments, the Sr. Accountant will manage and execute accounting and analysis for various accounts to provide timely and accurate financial data. This role will lead all accounting operational functions, managing the accumulation and consolidation of financial information for internal and external financial statements.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee daily operations of Corporate Accounting, including, but not limited to accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, general ledger, banking, and cash flows.
  • Accounting and Analysis: Maintaining designated general ledger and subsidiary ledger accounts, including posting and preparing adjusting, and closing journal entries.
  • Perform reconciliations and reconciliations between the general ledger and subsidiary ledger on a monthly basis. Ensure accounting is complete, accurate and well documented.
  • Close Process: Analyze all designated account activity in order to provide analysis and explanation to management during close meetings. Ensure all designated internal deadlines surrounding the close process are met. Ensure mathematical accuracy of statistics.
  • Schedule a closing meeting with the Controller and Chief Financial Officer.
  • Prepare financial statements including a cashflow statement.
  • Maintain chart of accounts and financial data in the ERP system.
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts and research when necessary.

Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree in Accounting
  • 3+ years of experience in public accounting
  • Minimum five (3) years’ experience in the support and maintenance of financial systems.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Suite
  • Strong Excel macro formula and financial modeling skills.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to develop critical partnerships and drive mutually beneficial results
  • Exceptional organization and time management skills to maintain scheduling of tasks and projects in an orderly and timely manner.
  • Demonstrated ability in handling, resolving, and communicating complex issues in real time using strong analytical and communication skills.
