Sales Training Manager
Pharmaceutical Company – New Jersey
(Hybrid 3 days a week)

Summary
Talento has partnered with a Global  Pharmaceutical company to find a Sales Training Manager to drive the development, delivery and management of customized training programs. This role is the primary training contact/liaison and is an integral component of all client negotiations with regards to training objectives, expectations, program development and execution.

Responsibilities

  • Interface with field sales management and all internal support teams to facilitate training program that drives client results and satisfaction
  • Oversee the effective implementation of all training programs to ensure execution and skill development
  • Absorb new product information, features and benefits and develop training materials in a timely fashion
  • Develop training plan and determine the goals, strategies and tactics to be implemented to achieve client satisfaction
  • Support sales management team by providing training materials, workshops and/or facilitation support at national, regional and local meetings
  • Prepare required training materials and/or home study materials necessary for initial and follow-up training classes
  • Coach sales representatives during training classes and ensure classroom environment allows for sales representatives to meet learning objectives
  • Assist sales management with sales representative development plans and develop metrics and KPIs to assess the success of training activities
  • Evaluate the competency levels of training class participants and provide detailed evaluations and feedback
  • Use field training visits to provide coaching on product and selling skills and to analyze training needs

Education, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Bachelor’s degree in science, business, instructional design or education; MBA, PhD, MA, RN, M.D preferred
  • 3+ years B2B sales experience, ideally in the pharma/healthcare industries
  • 2+ years training experience presenting to a variety of audiences
  • Additional experience desired: managed care, reimbursement, clinical expertise and strong understanding of Specialty Pharmacy channel
  • Expertise in commanding and engaging a classroom and proven training and group facilitation across different levels of experience
  • Collaborative leader with strong cross functional working relationships
  • Adept at converting concepts, skills and knowledge into a learning context for participants
  • Skilled in quickly learning new technical, clinical and medical product knowledge
  • Flexible and able to manage multiple projects
  • Working knowledge of sound instructional design and experience in designing training programs/seminars
  • Open to travel 10-15% (sales/client meetings; in field visits)
