Talento has partnered with a non-profit purchasing and supply chain management company that services several global fast-food chains in search of a Buyer. The Buyer is responsible for supporting the Senior Manager in ensuring a continuous supply of assigned products at the best cost. The buyer will also be responsible for analyzing sales volumes, production schedules, & timeline development.
Responsibilities:
- Assisting the Senior Manager in maintaining a steady supply of competitively priced products, ensuring consistency and timeliness.
- Collaborating to integrate new products into the system seamlessly.
- Cultivating and managing relationships with suppliers to optimize partnerships.
- Conducting industry research to inform strategic decisions, including identifying new suppliers, tracking trends, and analyzing costs.
- Developing and implementing pricing review schedules and formulas independently, ensuring documentation accuracy.
- Monitoring pricing compliance and addressing any modifications or discrepancies transparently.
- Evaluating vendor capacity and distribution capabilities to uphold quality, cost, and service standards.
- Proactively managing supplier inventory to prevent supply gaps or shortages.
- Overseeing production schedules for promotional and new product initiatives, and monitoring supplier production on a weekly basis.
Qualifications:
- A four-year degree is required.
- Must have at least two to three years of direct and relevant work experience.
- Must have excellent analytical, written, and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, and as a member of a team.
- Proficiency MS Office environment (Excel, Word, Power Point)
