Network and Telecommunications Manager

TalentoHC has partnered with a company in Daytona, FL that is looking to grow their Network and Telecommunications function by adding a Network and Telecommunications Manager. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in leading teams, ensuring efficient day-to-day operations of telecommunications activities while optimizing resource allocation. They should possess a strong ability to develop and execute strategies for the setup, configuration, and maintenance of robust telecommunications systems and networks, demonstrating a proactive approach to enhancing operational efficiency and reliability.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and lead a team of employees directly.
  • Ensure the smooth day-to-day operations of telecommunications activities, optimizing resource utilization.
  • Develop and execute strategies for the setup, setup, and upkeep of telecommunications systems and networks.
  • Perform regular evaluations to pinpoint areas for improvement, proposing solutions to boost performance, reliability, and security.
  • Oversee the troubleshooting and resolution of telecommunications issues, minimizing downtime and operational disruptions.
  • Establish and enforce policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Manage relationships with telecommunications suppliers, negotiate contracts, and monitor service level agreements to ensure cost-effectiveness and quality service delivery.
  • Monitor and evaluate telecommunications costs, identify opportunities to save money, and prepare detailed reports for management review.
  • Offer technical guidance, training, and support to telecommunications staff, nurturing their professional growth.

 

Requirements
  • Proficient technical skills in telecommunications systems and networks, with hands-on experience in PBX systems, VoIP technologies, call routing, and data networks.
  • Minimum three years of experience in IT network or server administration.
  • Thorough understanding of network protocols and concepts, with the ability to manage Cisco environment services.
  • Capability in managing Cisco layer 3 switches, firewalls, IPS sensors, layer 2 edge switches, VPNs, and wireless access points.
  • Strong grasp of OSI model, TCP/IP network stack, troubleshooting techniques, and network traffic analysis.
  • Experience in domain administration, including installation, management, and troubleshooting of Microsoft Windows 2008 to 2012R2 servers, Active Directory & AD Group Policies, DNS & DHCP administration.
  • Ability to manage and administer clustered VMWare ESXi enterprise environments and NetApp SAN.
  • Understanding of structured low voltage data wiring and proficiency in network closet installation and modification.
