CPG Project Manager
South Bay LA Area / Hybrid
Overview
Talento has partnered with an innovative CPG company to find a Project Manager for their category-leading and award-winning portfolio of products. Reporting to the Marketing Director, this newly created position will play a critical role in driving the success of product launches and other brand renovation projects. Key focus will be on creating and managing project timelines, keeping cross functional team members on task, communicating to stakeholders and ensuring that projects are delivered on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Own all aspects of project management for innovation and renovation projects and product launches
- Develop comprehensive project timelines outlining key milestones, deliverables and deadlines for each phase of the project
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, R&D, sales and supply chain to ensure seamless execution from concept to launch
- Utilize project management tools and methodologies to effectively track progress and adjust timelines as needed to ensure on-time delivery
- Facilitate regular team meetings to review project status, address any issues or roadblocks and ensure alignment on priorities
- Assign tasks and responsibilities to team members, providing guidance and support as needed to keep projects moving forward efficiently
- Serve as the primary point of contact for project updates and communication
- Provide regular updates to the Marketing Director and other key stakeholders on project status, risks and mitigation strategies
- Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve efficiency in project management practices
- Actively seek feedback from team members and stakeholders to implement lessons learned and best practices for future projects
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain or related field
- Minimum 4 years of experience with 2+ years in project management
- Project management certification a plus
- Proven experience in project management; ideally on CPG product innovation/renovation projects
- Adept at simultaneously managing multiple projects
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written)
- Demonstrated success in collaborating effectively across cross-functional groups
- Self-motivated and thrives in an environment with minimal structure and processes
- Uses creative problem-solving skills to resolve business issues/opportunities
- Results-driven mindset with a commitment to delivering high-quality work on time and within budget
- Proficient in MS Office and project management tools and software (Microsoft Project preferred)
